Airplay 2 Casting issues

Trying to Airplay to AirConnect (https://github.com/philippe44/AirConnect) so I can bridge to UPnP devices but it doesn't show up on the list. I sporadically got a few things like AirScreen to show up but none are able to receive audio. Are there any plans to support sending from WiiM to non-Apple airplay receivers or non-airplay receivers (UPnP, Chromecast)?

I have two devices that support Airplay 2 and do not have a hardware volume setting knop or equivalent: a raspi w/ hifiberry amp2 running hifiberry os and a Belkin Soundform Connect. At the moment I use a mac running Airfoil for distributing sound to several targets. It can set the volume separately for each target. I could set the volume for the hifiberry in its gui, but (convenience-wise) I'd prefer setting it individually for each target at one central point, in this case the Wiim app.
