Another multiroom question

Hi all,

I'm new here and a noob about wiim. I did read the entire wiim pro manual and so posts about multiroom setup but couldn't find my answer. Here's the setup I'd like to achieve:

3 zones:
Z1: living room with 4 speakers
Z2: outdoor with 2 speakers
Z3: bedroom with 2 speakers

Each zone will have its own amp:

Z1: Yamaha R-S300 w/ 4 speakers
Z2: Fosi Audio TB10D
Z3: Fosi Audio TB10D

I would connect a Wiim Pro on each of those amps.

Will I be able to achieve the following:

1. Play different music in each zone. Not essential but would be a plus.
2. Sync without issue all zones using my Android phone
3. Play Spotify or YouTube Music or Tidal by a very simple "Cast to any combination of the 3 zones (all, just one, just two, etc.) from an iPad, iPhone or Android
4. Control the volume independently in each zone from the tablet or phones.

It's a simple setup yet I can't find any diagram providing a similar multiroom example in the manual or online.

I find it confusing when people say "you can only control wiim devices from a wiim pro". What is a wiim device? I just want to control those three amps.

I won't use a DAC but understand I could add one per amp at a later time if I wish to improve the overall sound quality.

Thank you for any input on this.
Cheers!

Tap the link icon on the device card and select the Wiim device you want to add to the multiroom.

The device card is unified, and you can change the overall Multi-room music (MRM) volume and the volume of each device. You can sync with "Sync Audio" in the device settings.

I think almost everything you want to do will come true, but I only have two Wiims, so I have no experience with multiple MRM.

Grouping your devices I.e. WiiM Pros, is done entirely in the WiiM home app as indicated, and you’d need to group or ungroup them as required for the scenarios chosen.

You mean that if you wish to play different music in each zone you'd need to have the zones ungrouped and if you wish to have the same music in all zones, you'd group them.

I asked the question because a YouTuber who is a known audio specialist assured me that with WiiM, it's always the same music in all zones, regardless of how many WiiM you own. I'm understanding that it's incorrect.

Yes and yes, he's incorrect - I have a WiiM Mini, Pro and Pro Plus and they all play independently unless I expressly link them together. I have no idea what gave them that idea - who are you talking about and which video did they say that in?

It's in the reply to a question I asked under the user AA here:

The YouTuber Jules McCoy writes this:

"Jiles McCoy
Do you want to have different music at each location? Or just play one thing all over. The Wiim just plays one thing."

I'm very happy that he's mistaken! Thank you, ordering three WiiM Pros now.

Hey folks, for clarification, what I mean is that a Wiim unit only plays one song at a time. A single Wiim units doesn't play multiple songs simultaneously somehow. You can have multiple units all playing a unique song, or you can link them together in party mode. It wouldn't make sense that all of your Wiim units were somehow always linked togethering playing the same thing. It works much like Sonos or HEOS or Roon, etc.
