Strange issue with WiiM Pro

My current setup is turntable > preamp > WiiM Pro > Sonos Speakers

It’s worked fine for months. Recently however it started being choppy with audio coming in and out every few seconds.

To rule out any turntable issues I changed the output to Bluetooth and connected to a Bluetooth speaker and the audio was perfect.

To rule out any Sonos issues I changed the input to Tidal through the WiiM Pro and left the output as Sonos and it worked fine.

I’m confused because it would seem like the issues have all been ruled out but the combination of line in and AirPlay to Sonos out has been consistently flawed.

Any ideas what it might possibly be?

Same issue here. Seems to be a bug with their most recent software update. Very disappointing.

@Frankietacos and @grant.skinner: Have you opened tickets to WiiM via the Home app? The more squeaky wheels on this issue, the more quickly grease is likely to be applied.

I did report a ticket through the app. Here’s hoping they get a chance to looking at this issue soon. Wish I could reinstall the previous version, as that played fine for me

Frustrating. Myself and Grant above both submitted tickets through the app. I’d suggest to do the same!

See here where WiiM reverted the unit’s firmware to the previous version, so they’re aware of an issue and will hopefully fix it soon

Edit: maybe contact them if you want them to put you back on the old firmware too
