UPSAMPLING TO 24 BITS / 192 KHZ - Wiim mini

Good afternoon! A doubt. Does the Wiim Mini allow upsampling a music file from 16bit/44.1kHz (native) to 24bit/192kHz over the digital connection? Thanks!

I get a clearer sound if I lower the volume a little on mini and disable mqa . So for me bit perfect is not a panacea if you play flac 16/44

It is possible to some extent using SqueezeLite and the C-3PO plugin, see these settings.


In my setup, setting other output formats (aiff, wav) resulted in white noise. Flac (I just only not compressed) works quite well and I get my tracks 4x upsampled.

Another method I use is via a mpd setup with multiple httpd outputs (each with different formats), then I stream the corresponding URL from the WiiM app. With this method and upmpdcli on top of mpd, I can play an upsampled stream to the WiiM.

I need to try LiquidSoap but didn't have the time yet.
