I wonder if anyone has tried this setup or something similar?

I am looking to achieve the best quality sound in my kitchen, which I can listen to stand alone, or grouped via AirPlay 2 with my main system which is the WiiM Amp and Q acoustics 2050i floor standing speakers in my living room.... Wondering also how the BT3's might compare to a grouped pair of Sonos Play One's over AirPlay2??

Am I right that the WiiM mini connected to speakers such as the BT 3's via optivcal, can be an end point for my CD player which is phyically connected to my WiiM Amp by RCA and can also be grouped and played together?

The second part re grouping to play your CD should be fine, and will be played at a max of 16/48 in a Linkplay group.
