I have two powered speakers I cannot reach across the room with ethernet.
Thoughts on using this configuration? Music player to two WIIM Pros using wi-fi. Attach each WIIM Pro to speaker via optical cable.
Thank you.

So the speakers are essentially independent from each other?
i.e. they each need their own input rather than one getting the input which is then shared to the other?
Do you want one to be left and the other right? Both channels from both?
Either way, this would work, with the two pros in a wiim group. You can choose if each wiim does L+R channels or just L or R.
Depending on what / how you want to play, two minis might do too.

There's no such thing as can't. Run a long ethernet wire around the room ;)

Allow me to introduce you to my wife. 😳
Thanks for your help Mr. Ee.

Two WiiM Mini’s suffices. Less big and they work with the physical remote.
But... I can't recall if a group of minis is "limited" to 48khz.
Also not able to chromecast to minis, hence my (sort of question) 'Depending on what / how you want to play'.
But, yes, much smaller form, which may or may not be of interest too.

True, no Chromecast. Also, group (multiroom) is currently limited to 16/44 (CD Quality) for all WiiM (Linkplay) devices. Next to that, most optical connected speakers are limited to 24/96.
