Bluetooth latency problem - bug or expected behaviour?

this morning I noticed the delay was quite minimal, almost in-sync, but when I clicked a different video it played way out-of-sync again
This happens constantly. For me it's the Nvidia ShieldTV paired to the WiiM Pro Plus. But I have to stop the video (not pause, but really stop it) and then resume. Up to a minute or two all is in sync, but then again it drags, more than a second.

I also have a very ugly stutter, often.

I tried repairing and reconnecting it, both AAC and SBC.

I gave up in the end and returned it; you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get a tolerable latency.

Shame really, as for audio-only streaming it was a great little device.

0.3 seconds is a long delay. No more than 0.2 is considered normal
As already mentioned, it is a self-check done while watching the video. It should be borne in mind that it is not always a strict and accurate measurement.
