External antenna?

Surprised to not find a hit when searching this issue. Has anyone cracked the case and implemented an external antenna for the WiFi? I've done what I can with my router placement and my Wiim Mini placement, but I am still on the hairy edge of 24/192 working fine sometimes, and cutting out other times due to WiFi strength. Thanks!

I would try a wifi extender before I did that. I run a mesh wifi system with two extenders and they do a nice job.

I did see a YouTube video, where someone, completely re-cased a Pro, with an external antenna like other small streamer boxes have. I'll see, if I can find it. But I do agree with @goodmore , try an extender first before redesigning the antenna layout.

Yep, that was it. A nice piece of work. I always like building out PCs, Laptops and PIs. I did a battery replacement on an iPhone4, awhile back, that was almost not fun, but in the end it was fun, too.
