No perceived difference when using EQ

I'm not an audiophile, i'm a beginner in this whole world. I just set up 2ea WIIM Pro's. I have one going into my vizio powered sourround system via optical cable and another going into an AIYIMA A07 via RCA cables then to some passive speakers. When changing the EQ I do not notice any changes to the sound. Is there something I'm missing that I need to do when changing the EQ levels?

I don't know if you're talking about GEQ or PEQ, but does setting the EQ this way make it smaller?

If it sounds small, I don't think there's a problem with EQ for the time being.

Are you on latest firmware as PEQ didn’t work when it was first introduced it just wasn’t being applied.
