Thanks. I guess my actual question is, how does one become a beta test user?

Either by signing up to the posts where Wiim invite members to join a beta, or by sending WiiM a request thru the WiiM Home app where your logs will show your WiiM device MAC address which Wiim need to whitelist your device.
Probably not much point at the moment as WiiM hope to release the current beta features as public releases by 31/8
