Wiim Pro Plus - pcb version

Good day,

I received a Wiim Pro Plus in early October from Amazon.

The serial number on the unit/box, begins with 03JL23xxxxxx

Using the http api, I get: "PCB_version": "3"

1. Not sure if anyone would know: based on the beginning of the serial number, was this unit made on July 03, 2023? Or is this date just assigned to a serial number sticker, but does not imply the date the device was made?

2. Based on the api "PCB_version": "3", does someone know with certainty if this device has the modified hardware (low freq improvement?) which was supposedly done in September? I realize the change is inaudible - this is just my curiosity.

I can't answer with certainty, but the case of the PCB version you reported is the first one I know of, except for my unit. So far.

My box label serial also says 03JUL23, but the http api return is/was PCB 2. Will refresh on the prompt and will recheck, but as I reported on this forum, it was most certainly version 2.

All in all performs nicely, albeit into my re-digitizing KEF LSX’s before I relocate here my tubes amp and Tannoy speakers main system.

I purchased one from Amazon back on September 27 2023, it has an silver sticker with barcode and 03JL23xxxxxxxxx on the box. Another plain sticker on the other side with barcode says "New-WiiM Pro Plus...music, Tidal und mehr". I couldn't get the http api look up to work so I opened it up by removing the 4 screws under the rubber on the bottom, these are located at the corners, then prying the cover off as it also snaps down into place. I found the board is printed version 3 and the bottom cover has a metal weight attached to it to help with gravity. I'm using it with the purple boarded Lehmann clone and am happy with it so far.

I can tell you that on my box the barcode starts with '03P723...' so I doubt it's a date

I bought mine on Aliexpress about three weeks ago, HTTP API says PCB 3
