What's your setup/configuration look like?

I am not sure there enough blue screens.......
Blue is the colour of the sky
In the morning when we rise
In the morning when we rise
That's the time, that's the time
I love the best.
(Donovan) sorry, and of course Joan Baez 😉

Wiim Pro serving as streamer and preamp. Denon DP300 with Ortofon Red into a Project phono box feeding the line input on the WiiM. WiiM feeds a Topping E30 lite that outputs to a Linn LK100 amp and a pair of Linn Keilidhs. The IPad allows me to see tracks playing cover art while I control from my iPhone.

Wiim Pro must've done some thing naughty to be locked up in a cage! BTW, pulling out the speakers a couple of feet from the wall would improve the sound.

Haha! They have been released from jail. The Linns actually sound very good close to the wall. They were designed to sound best 4 to 12” from the rear wall and I have tried them in a variety of locations. Lucky for me cause my wife was opposed to them being any further out. I am quite aware of speaker placement but also I am never afraid to go against conventional wisdom and try things that are often taboo in the world of audio.

As my setup consists of a DAC and pro studio monitor on either side of my desk, I listen to music while on my computer, always. The DAC auto-switches inputs from the PC (Chromebox) and the WiiM Pro.

Given that there are lots of small HDMI displays available on Amazon for as little as $25, I thought I’d try one as a secondary screen for my PC, and just drag a WiiM monitor app over to it. A very simple solution, without the need for a Raspberry Pi or Android tablet. It also will support touch, if the screen supports it (this one does, though it’s no longer on Amazon).

I’ll work on a simple Chrome extension to support this next week.

This one was available on Amazon this morning for just $25, which is an amazingly good deal.
